Winter Operations

Effective January 3, 2021, the nature center will be staffed from 12-5 PM Sundays. The center will be closed to the public but staff will be on duty to assist guests with equipment rentals. Please call the center at 218-945-3129 on Sundays with questions or to verify trail conditions and equipment availability.

Restrooms are open on weekends (Friday afternoon through Sunday evening). Restrooms will be cleaned daily.

Effective January 3, 2021, rentals are available from 12-5 PM on Sundays. Equipment will be disinfected upon return. At times of high demand, equipment availability may be limited. It is strongly recommended that you call ahead to inquire about the availability of equipment and trail conditions before traveling to the center. 218-945-3129. You should know which sizes of equipment you will need prior to calling or arriving at the center. Please refer to these sizing charts and have equipment sizes ready before contacting staff.

When you arrive at the center to pick up your rentals, staff will meet you outside the center and bring your equipment to you. Masks, social distancing and correct change are greatly appreciated. Please refer to the fee schedule below. 

Staff may not be able to assist you with the equipment.

Trail Fees:  Due to the current health crisis, we are waiving trail fees at this time. Get outside!

Members 

Free daily ski and snowshoe rentals.

Nonmembers

Skis, poles and boots available for rent for a total of $6 per day.

Snowshoes available for rent for $6 per day.

Signed waivers are required for each individual prior to renting equipment. It is greatly appreciated if you have these completed prior to arriving at the center. However, blank waivers will be available at the center. Waivers can be viewed and downloaded here.
