“What’s News”?
At the AELC?
The fair is approaching fast and usually I go to walk around, take the kids on rides, and eat to many expensive no-nos. Personally, I really like the Off-da taco stand. Every year, an old friend of my brother’s goes to the fair and gets a t-shirt made. Usually, I just shake my head and mutter something under my breath about wasting money on stuff like that. Especially when you could be wasting your money on rides and food. Well, this year I’ve decided that I am going to have a t-shirt made too.
That’s right my very own AELC t-shirt. Currently, we sell t-shirts for $10 that are brown with green lettering. It says “The Nature Center” and has our phone number on it. So I’m not exactly coming up with a new idea… I’m just going to add a little ‘spice’.
So that’s where I need your help. On the back of my t-shirt I plan to have the “Top Ten Reasons to be an AELC Member”. Of course I want them to be funny, honest, and clever. I have a few ideas already and although I think some of them have potential, my sister doesn’t agree that they are all that funny.
Here are a few ideas I thought of so far…
- Permanent Wood Tick Host
- TNLN (Geocache language)
- Polka Dot Car, White and Whatever…. (Bird poop)
- GPS in Hand and Still Lost (GPS Units for rent)
- 18 miles of Free Walking
- Bug Spray Cologne
- Great Staff, Yeah, We Know It
- Community Service Option
- Indoor Plumbing
- Annual Bridge Flood
Please remember these are rough draft ideas. There are probably better ideas and it could probably use a little rearranging in the order. For those of you who agree with my sister and think my sense of humor needs a little help. Well, help me out.
