The AELC rents their facilities?
Yes, that's right! Plan your next family reunion, birthday party, or even a class reunion at the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center.
What is included in the rental?
- Meeting room seating up to 50 people
- Two bathrooms complete with showers
- Full Kitchen (stove, sink)
(additional rental fees apply)
- Use of the trails
- Tables with chairs
- 8-10 picnic tables
- Projector screen for presentations
- Coordination from area dining establishments for catered events
What does is cost to rent the facility?
If you are a non-profit organization, the cost is $25 to rent just the gathering space and $35 for the gathering space and kitchen areas.
Other groups, for profit and private individuals and groups (family reunions, birthdays, etc.) the cost is $60 to rent just the gathering space and $65 for the gathering space and kitchen areas.
As a gesture of good will, the Nature Center waives the rental fees if you are a non-profit organization whose primary function is working with the youth. The events must be chaperoned.
Is there a deposit?
For all rentals, a $25 refundable cleaning deposit is required. When you are finished using the building, we ask that it be left in the same condition as when you arrived. A checklist is provided at the center.
What types of events can be accommodated?
Many events have been held at the Nature Center. Here are just a few!

- Other groups - such as the "Red Hat Ladies"
